The Michigan Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) provides a unique, exciting, and enriching experience for young musicians in southeast Michigan, including:

The MPYO is the centerpiece of the Michigan Philharmonic’s music education program, offering a full program of three orchestras and a wind ensemble. Performance opportunities include several MPYO concerts every year and side-by-side performances with the professional Michigan Philharmonic.
MPYO students have a variety of educational experiences. Many attend several local public and private schools, while others are homeschooled.
